Job title: Metadata and Cataloguing Librarian

Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in current cataloguing standards and bibliographic tools, including ILMS cataloguing experience (preferably using Voyager)
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience in data manipulation between metadata schemas, primarily into MARC
• Demonstrated ability to isolate and review groups/batches of records, making broad scale changes as appropriate to optimize access and inventory control
• Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of current cataloguing trends and ability to take responsibility for maintaining awareness of cataloguing standards and trends
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with key stakeholders
• Ability to organise staff or volunteers to undertake short term projects and work placements
• Working knowledge of Excel, MS Access, MARC-Edit and Voyager auxiliary tools, with knowledge of VB Scripts and relational database concepts desirable

Qualifications: Approved tertiary degree or post graduate diploma in librarianship
